PHILIP LUU

Philip Luu is a freelance pattern cutter with a strong foundation in fashion design, having graduated from the University of Westminster. His extensive industry experience includes pivotal roles at renowned fashion houses such as Richard Nicoll, Nicolas Oakwell, Chalayan, and Tom Ford. Following these high-profile positions, Philip established himself as a successful freelance pattern cutter, collaborating with a range of independent brands and designers.

Beyond his industry expertise, Philip is a dedicated educator. He has been instrumental in nurturing young talent through his involvement with Fashion Awareness Direct, where he has mentored aspiring designers and judged their annual competition. Additionally, Philip has shared his knowledge as a Pattern Cutting Lecturer at Kingston University, Ravensbourne University, University of East London, and London Art Portfolio, as well as with BA and MA students at Central Saint Martins.
